Aurora works to boost resilience, and advocate for crucial change to attract more essential philanthropic funding to the LGBTIQ+ sector, and through our deep community connections, we know where the need is, so your money can have the greatest impact.
Aurora is community-led, and through our grants programs, has provided nearly $2million to grassroots organisations who are addressing the needs of LGBTIQ+ people, and supporting them to build organisational capacity. In the past 15 years alone Aurora has provided over 150 grants to LGBTIQ+ organisations and projects right across New South Wales, and around Australia.
In 2021, Aurora also worked closely with our friends at Oliver Wyman, and GiveOUT to produce two research reports, The Case for Intermediaries and Where are the Rainbow Resources?. These reports uncovered vital data on the challenges faced by our communities, informing the Australian philanthropic sector on the realities of the landscape for LGBTIQ+ organisations.
