High Above’ an oil painting on canvas by Malcolm Poole.

Malcolm Poole has works held in London University Collection, and private collections in UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand and U.S.A

Malcolm is also the instigator and currently the manager of the Lennox Street Studios in Newtown, which comprises 40 artist studio spaces in a formerly disused Catholic school building. The idea to create an arts studio environment came to Malcolm after he graduated. He found it difficult to find a suitable studio space at a reasonable cost, one, which would allow him to further develop his skills in an artistic environment.

The canvas is 340 x 540mm, framed 500 x 650mm.

Pablo Picasso “The Pike”, 1961

Original black & white lithograph from Picasso’s “A Los Toros” series. This is an extremely rare artwork from a limited edition of only 125. “A Los Toros” was a tribute to the bullfight. As a child, Picasso was taken to the bullfight by his father and it became an obsession which haunted his memory. Picasso saw himself as a Picador (bullfighter) in his own life. Like Picasso, the Picador was a man at war with himself, with the bull, with his family and with life – and without caring for any other things.

Corporate Culture – PK1 designer chair by Poul Kjaerholm

The classic PK1 chair by Poul Kjaerholm designed back in 1956.

PK1 is a side chair reduced to the ultimate. The framework is welded steel tube. The structure with its limited, fine-tuned details is fully visible.

It is a quintessential Poul Kjærholm universal chair combining a tight steel body and subtle natural materials in the seating.

The bold, minimalist design is witness to the trust that existed between designer and manufacturer.

Georges Braque “The Rooster”, 1952

Colour lithograph from a special edition of the deluxe art review “Verve”. Georges Braque was a major 20th century French painter and a pioneer of the Cubist art movement.
